What types of events can be held at the NPC?

The NPC is ideal for board meetings, retreats, annual meetings, strategic planning sessions, collaborative initiatives, advocacy and policy training and educational events. 

Is the NPC a wedding and/or shower venue?

The NPC is a meeting and conference space for nonprofits, educational institutions, governmental entities, and other public groups to support their education and convening needs. We are not a venue for weddings and/or showers.

Are there any restrictions on who can use the space?

Organizations must be a nonprofit or a state or local governmental agency with a purpose that aligns with the Sunflower Foundation’s mission “To serve as a catalyst for improving the health of all Kansans.”

What amenities are included in the rental?

Organizations renting space from the NPC receive free parking; access to a Mother’s Room, huddle rooms, three outdoor patios, a catering kitchen, close proximity to walking trails, easy access to the highway, and state of the art technology for onsite and virtual meetings, conferences and webinars.

Does the center offer any discounted rates for nonprofits?

The Sunflower Nonprofit Center  offers room rentals at nonprofit rates, ensuring accessibility for organizations of all sizes and budgets.

What are the policies regarding food service?

The Nonprofit Center does not provide catering. Organizations are welcome to bring in caterers of their choosing. We are happy to provide catering options upon request.

What are the policies regarding beverage service?

Guests are requested to utilize the NPC’s in-house beverage services. Renters may bring in or arrange for special beverages not provided by the NPC, subject to prior approval and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Do you have parking available?

Yes. The Sunflower Nonprofit Center offers five handicapped parking spaces and 95 regular parking spaces. Parking is free.
